How to remove a filetype from save as dialogue

I don't know what happened. Slip of the mouse? When I want to save an audio file as .fla in Audition 3.01, somehow the filetype .zip has become one of the choices under FLAC. So I must type in the filename .fla as the name, or the software will save it as "filename.zip". How can I remove .zip as one of the choices of format in which to save a .wav (or other) file? I have to do this now for every file I want to save as FLAC. No need to emphasize how frustrating this is.

In answer to your questions about why I'm still using Version 3, it's because so many of the functions I use every day have been removed from later versions.

Thanks in advance.

So, does anyone here know how to remove .zip from the choice of filetypes in the Save As FLAC dialogue?

What used to happen if you saved a file with a typed extension is that Audition (actually the OS) remembered what you did, and that became the default action for a save. If that doesn't happen now, it's almost certainly because of something that Microsoft altered. After Audition 3, Adobe arranged for their own file handler to do the interacting with the file system, but Audition 3, as far as I'm aware, is essentially a hostage to fortune from this POV because the OS handles all of it - so all bets are off. Does Save As do the same thing?

Thanks for the response. Yes, Save As will default to .zip, so I have to type in .fla after the filename. AU didn't used to do this, it started sometime in the last month.
