How to revert changes?

I am struggling editing a 60min film for my university, it is my first time using audition, I did dynamic link from premiere where I did the final cut, now I have done some work into audition using the waveform track (the individual) now after a day i listened to the whole scene only to realise I messed all up, so the question is:

How can I re edit the original files I messed up? Or are the changes I made now burned on each file? Is it an offline editor? Do I need to re import each file again?

No such thing as an 'offline' editor! Well not in this context, anyway. Technically there are only two modes of editing - destructive and non-destructive. Audition's Multitrack editor is non-destructive, but the Waveform editor is completely destructive once you've saved changes to a file. This is why we always recommend that you never edit an original file with it unless you absolutely don't care about it - always edit a copy. And of course if you do this, then all edits are off-line...

Now I could be wrong, but I thought that when editing a single file from a Premiere session, that when you close it in Audition it replaces the original file with the (permanently changed) original one. Which means that your original file should still be in the bin somewhere. If that's the case, then you should still have an intact copy of the original in your project. I'll check on the behaviour and report back...
