How to select time from end, when recording a favourite

Hi everyone,

I need to set a favourite to perform a fading envelope effect, to be applied to the last 2 seconds of the audio files to be processed.

I tried recording the favorite by selecting the last 2 seconds of the file I was using at the time, but the program in this way saves exactly the time point of the audio selection.

When you try to apply the favorite on an audio file with different duration, the favorite goes to apply the fading effect at the same time point, and does not set it by matching the end of the selection with the end of the audio file.

So my question is this:

Is there a way (a particular command or something else) to register the favorite so that it applies a certain effect on a time selection of fixed duration and whose end point is coincident with the end of the audio file?

I hope I have explained myself clearly, and I thank in advance those who were able to help me

    The way Favorites stores the cursor position is not straight forward. You will need to go to Edit Favorites from the Favorites menu and select your Fade Out stored one. Then go to the Selection drop down menu and select Absolute from End. It may have ended up as Relative by default. Set both Selection boxes to the same. Then check the Start and End times. They should be similar to mine in the image ie. Start = -0.02.000 and End = 0.00.000. If it does show those timings then you will need to change them. Unfortunately you cannot edit the times directly. So to change them first go to your opened audio file and select the last couple of seconds of it manually. Then you can go back to the Favorites Edit panel and click and Cntrl-click to select both the Actions. Then click on the 'Capture the active audio's file time selection' icon (arrow head pointing between two brackets second from top right) to transfer the required timings into the Favorite.
