How to set Audition up using Behringer UMC404HD

I am NOT an audio person, but trying  to get the basics.

I am using the Behringer (trying at least) to record to Windows10 using Audition.

Here is what I am trying to do.  I want to sing to a music trax and record that.

I have used many variations in the setup through Audition.  And nothing seems to work.

I am running a set of headphones into the Interface.and Behringer UltraVoice microphone.

Like I said can someone guide me on getting started?

Like I said....a complete idiot to audio equipment.
