How to silence purple waves?

Question

Hi!! I am trying to select specific waves to silence them (as they are birds chirping and I do not want that in my sound) and cannot figure out how to do that?? I have included an image below. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them!! Thanks so much!

I'm afraid you can't isolate anything in the spectral pitch dsiplay - it's just for information. What you need to do is locate the sounds you want to eliminate in the spectral frequency dsiplay, where the tools that will help you isolate them become available. You can switch the displays using the two buttons underneath where it says 'Multitrack' on your screengrab.
