Question

How to start a track 100ms before soundwave

Hello Audition community,

I recorded a spoken script, i then trimmed my audio track into many small tracks.

But ideally, now i'd love each of these files to start 100ms before the soundwave.

Is there a way to do it automatically via Adobe Audition?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Yes. You need to record and create an appropriate Favorite and run it in a batch. I can't remember exactly what ships with Audition (I've added quite a few) but what you want to end up with looks like this:

You edit the time by clicking on the 'insert silence' line, and all the rest of it has to look exactly like that, or your silence won't be where you want it! It may take you a few goes to get the hang of recording and editing Favorites, but once they are there, you can use them for ever. You can even have different versions if you want - I have several, as you'll note....
