How to use Match Loudness to level the audio

Hi everyone. I used Audition to extract songs from several CDs to create a playlist. Since the songs are extracted from different CDs, it's natural that they have different volumes. I'd like to know how to use Match Loudness to level all the songs so that they are heard at the same volume. Or, is there another way in Audition to level all the songs.

Works on copies!

Match loudness is the go to for this. Exact settings are kind of up to you. Try matching with ITU-R BS1770 with -18 LUFS, and set a Max true peak of -1 or -2.  (I think most CDs are set louder than this, you might try -16.)

You can drag files onto the effect.

One little thing: sometimes it seems files get a jumbled when Audition does a batch process. It seems that setting the number of concurrent processes to a low number, like 2, helps avoid this. (Setting>data>max number...)
