Question

I am not hearing my blue yeti (or any input) mic when recording, no problem during playback (Mac)

I cannot monitor any audio during recording (whether through my bluetooth headphones or mac speakers), I would prefer to hear the audio through Audition (I know Blue Yeti has a headphone jack, but that play back is not very good) while I can hear the audio through the headphones and speakers during playback.

Is there any way to hear the microphone during recording or do I have to listen to the awful Blue Yeti playback while I record?

This is Mac-related, but if there is any info that could lead to the answer I would be extremely thankful.

I think you're likely to get irritating latency if you try to monitor your recording with Audition. It's usually best to monitor directly from your device, or from an interface that offers direct monitoring.  The Bluetooth headphones are going to introduce latency as well. I'd use them wired for this application.

Just a quick note, I am using Bose Quiet Comfort headphones (bluetooth) but it also doesn't play through the macbook's speakers.
