I can only hear static

Im editing a video on premiere and I can hear the audio just fine. But once I open the same audio in audition I can only hear static and nothing else. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it?

When you import the audio, does the waveform look correct?

I figured it out! The waveform was correct and the audio was playing but it was just that the audio channel mapping wasn't correct. Thanks anyways.
