Question

I can't hear anything through my headphones when I'm recording

I have set up system preferences for the headphones on output, but I can't hear anything at all.  Any thoughts?

    My thought is that you simply haven't told us enough about your system at all. We don't even know if this is on a Mac or a PC! Or, come to that, what sound device, if any, you are using. We need a lot more information before we could even hazard a guess...

    I have Logitech H390 Headphones.  I have set up settings for the output to be the headset. They are plugged into my iMac via a USB.  I have also tried to plug them straight into my Rode Podcaster through an adapter however I still hear nothing through the headphones.  This is all through Adobe Audition. Are there any other settings that I need to adjust? Thanks.
