I have some audio and a sound track but its only like 9 seconds, recording carries on

Hi,

I am a beginner, I have a recorded voice track and a sound effect track in parallel, it really short only 9 seconds long but when I press play, the line or recording still carries on in silence, how do I cut short the recording to what I have?

Did you do this in Multitrack view or Waveform view? If you want to permanently remove the end of an individual file, you have to open it in Waveform view, hightlight the part you don't want, and then hit Delete. And then save the shortened file.

This is all very basic stuff. You might like to consider working through a few of the tutorials on offer - they will help you a lot.
