Question

I'm new to Audition and my track will not play.

I have tried all of the suggestions and it still will not play. Is there any new ideas that may be the reason why it will not play? My computer was made specifically for podcasting: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600K 3.70 GHz with 64 bit operating system, Windows 11. Thanks in advance. It's driving me crazy that I have had this issue for weeks. Please help, I appreciate all suggestions. Thanks again!

Does the transport move at all? If it doesn't, then you don't have a valid connection to your sound device - that's the only thing that will cause that particular issue. If the transport moves, the meters show an output and you still hear nothing, then you need to check where the signal is going when it leaves Audition.

Thank you Steve G for responding. Yes the playhead moves. When I move the curser backward on the track I can hear garbled up words from the interview, however it cannot be played forward.

I thought the same thing that maybe it was the speakers, or the system connection, but the other tracks play fine. I checked there wasn't solo selected on the other audio track. But that isn't the reason. Is there another setting that I may have overlooked that could have muted this one track? Thanks again for your assistance.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
