In adobe audition, is it possible to change the time signature markers in the middle of a track?

I have a track that changes time signatures from 4/4 to 3/4 at measure 61. The beats still line up because the tempo is the same, but the measures don’t and I want them to line up for both the 4/4 section and the 3/4 section without having to split the track into 2 files.

I’m afraid that it’s fixed at whatever you set it to in Preferences. You have to bear in mind that Audition isn’t really music creation software as such, and that the few tools it offers for that are, to say the very least, basic. Before you ask - no, this is unlikely to change. It has been like that for ever, what with the majority of Adobe’s customer base having its roots in visual media, not music.
