Question

Is there a way to paste a clip directly from clipboard without selecting the clipboard first?

I understand how to save clips to the individual clipboards, select them, then paste, etc., but has anyone figured a trick to paste direct from the clipboard 1,2,3,4,5 without having to select it first, then paste?

An example:  let's say I have four lengths of room tone I use: .5 sec, 1 sec, 1.5 sec, 2 sec in respective clipboards. I'd love to just paste whichever I need in one action versus two - is this possible?

I haven't tried it, but since you can activate a clipboard using Ctrl+n (where n is the clipboard number) and use Ctrl+V to paste its contents to the current cursor position, you should be able to create Favorites to combine the two commands. There are five clipboards, so you'd probably need five Favorites if you want to use all of them - but if you get rid of things you don't use, you can reassign keys quite easily - this would give you a single stroke paste of the one you've selected. Can't think of any other way to do it, I'm afraid.

Thanks for the advice.  The result wasn't quite what I expected.  I recorded the favorite as Apple Key + 1 + V (these keystrokes work in 'regular' mode), but it seems to not record as a 'pure' function, rather it simply mimics what I did during when I saved the favorite and pastes the clips in the exact same place- not where the playhead is.  I was hoping it would create a simple combined command that was ecumenical (for lack of a better word) that would work the same as the manual key strokes - all good.  it's a nicety versus a necessity.
