Is there way how to cut selection in half and fade in/out selected portion in multitrack editor?

Hi!My workflow is filled with a lot of cuting out of the mass.So what i do, is I find a mistake/breath or something, cut it in half, fade out previous part, fade in next part. If I can select portion with an error, make some „magic“ and it will be cuted exactly in half, and from left it wil be fade-out, and on the right side fade in on the lenght of the selection of each pieces, that would save me like a 1-2 hours a day.Is there way, how to do this? But that's what 'editing' is! You can't automate that, as the precise nature of what you are cutting is entirely programme-dependant. No automated system could achieve what you can, simply because it can't hear the result. The only thing I'd do differently with your example is overlap the joins slightly, so that there's no possibility of any discontinuity at that point, which there could be potentially if you just butt them together.

It becomes a little easier to make the split if you use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-K, which will split the clip where the cursor is, on the highlighted track, but that's as far as you can really go with this - everything else depends upon listening to the result.
