Is "Vocal Enhancer" at music preset & "Make Room For Vocals" Mastering preset the same thing?

Would you use them together?

Or are they redundant?

They are two different things. The Vocal Enhancer is mainly for Voice Over type speech or can give a bit of extra presence to background music. It is a fixed preset for each mode. However the Mastering preset does a load of different customisable adjustments to the sound, predominantly EQ'ing a bit of the Mid range frequencies to allow a space for a vocal mixed in from a different track. It also can do a lot of other adjustments to the sound. So probably looking/listening to the two different effects they really end up doing the opposite to each other. You might apply the Mastering 'Make Room For Vocals' preset to your instrumental backing tracks whilst using the Vocal Enhancer on the Vocal track.
