Question

Issue increasing volume of sound file

When increasing the volume of short bursts of sound, it no longer sounds like the original afterward, which is very poor. I used the Widget or whatever you call it on the screen with +0 dB on it. How can I make the sound louder that matched the fidelity of the not so loud sound?

Thanks

As long as you don't overload the file by crashing it into 0dB, amplification doesn't alter the sound of a file in the slightest. On the other hand, many reproducing systems sound a lot cleaner at lower levels than they do at high ones. Can you provide a short sample in the form of a wav file, at the original level?

You asked that I provide a file, but I don't see any way to do it. There is a Insert Photos and Inser Videos but what about a sound file? It seems strange they don't have a Insert option for a sound file for Audition Support!

Yeah, that is a bit strange... what most people do is post a file into Dropbox and provide a public link to it.
