Issue when doing a selection in the spectral form

Hello,

I really don't understand what is happening. I've been using adobe audition a few times before and never had any issues with this. But today, everytime I want to select a part of my sêctral form to only hear the part that I selected, I hear the whole frequency, and not only the small part that I selected.
Did I click on button or something ?

Another thing that has been weird today is that when I try to push the buttons to zoom in or out inside the frequencies, it doesn't let me neither. I can zoom in and out in the clips sections but not in the herz section.

I really don't know what is happening 😕😕

    Right-click on the 'Play' button, and select 'Play Spectral Selection Only'.

    Another thing that has been weird today is that when I try to push the buttons to zoom in or out inside the frequencies, it doesn't let me neither. I can zoom in and out in the clips sections but not in the herz section.

    The normal way to do this is to hold the mouse over the frequency scale and use the mouse-wheel. How have you been doing it?

    Thank you so much! I knew I must have selected or unselected something by mistake. Yes the "play spectral selection only" wasn't selected that's why it wasn't working anymore.

    And about zooming, ok so now I know the problem, I've been working on audition with a mouse the past few times I needed to for my videos but I didn't have my mouse today so was trying to make it work without a mouse, just with the pad but I guess I will need my mouse to zoom inside the frequencies. good to know thanks!
