Issues Saving to External HD with Audition Build 23.3.055 on iMac V 13.3

Ever since I upgraded to build 23.3.055 when I go to export an audio file to the same external drive I've been using since and prior to the upgrade, it will not save to the destination / pathway that pops up - instead I have to go through an extra step of clicking on the browse > Save As - which takes me to the same directory - then click OK (see attached video) - the error I first get suggest that the destination may not exist or the HD is full, which is neither the case, plenty of HD space and destination pathway is there.

Changes that we're made before this all happened were:

1) Used / using this External HD to backup the computer using "Time Machine" - prior to upgrading computer's OS

2) Upgraded my OS to Ventura (V 13.3)

3) Upgraded Audition from V 22.6 to V 23.3.055

I have noticed in my Creative Cloud - my earlier and now latest versions of Audition on my list of "Installed" but I'm only opening and using V23.3.055 on my DAW.

I would appreciate any ideas, thoughts on how to fix this issue.... Thanks!

I'd say the main reason for this is the OS upgrade step. I have seen that an upgrade messes up the permissions of folders. What you could do it to compare the permissions of the external drive, and any other local folder where you do not need this additional step during saving; say, your Documents folder. (Select the drive/folder and press Cmd+I, and then expand the "Sharing and permissions" section).

Match the permissions for your username and you should be good after this. Let us know if this doesn't work.

I went ahead an tried the steps you suggested but am still getting the same issues.  I too, do beleive it's something to do with permissions, but after unlocking and making sure the permissions for my username were set to Read and Write, it hasn't fixed it.  I also thought it may have had to do with using this same external HD for Time Machine Backup of my computer prior to making the OS upgrade to Ventura.  However, I made sure to remove this HD as the Backup Disk - again didn't fix this issue.

Hmm...

Can you open the previous release and see if the same thing happens for you using that?
