Issues with Gain

Hi, I am recording voiceover and I seem to have an issue with gain. There seems to be a low hum or hiss in the background of my recording. You can clearly hear my voice but that is not professional quality. Does it have something to do with gain? How do I fix that?

Adobe Audition CC 2018

Sterling ST-155 mic w/Kaotica Eyeball

Blue Icicle XLR connector with gain knob
