Issues with lagging when editing Multitrack session in Audition. Looking for help on why.

I am editing a podcast that has two seperate tracks. The length is around 30 minutes. When I edit the sound in Waveform or cut a file in Multitrack and move it, there is a very long lag or the application on longer responds. Below are the stats on the type of Mac I am using. I recently upgraded so my computer could handle large Adobe files. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
