Question

Keep getting blips in my audio. No enhancements, just 'podcast' template and doesn't happen elsewher

A small audio clip has been uploaded in WAV form. The 'winner' I was referring to was about the gain level (was acc just the leveller preset). The blip I'm referring to occurs 8sec's in between 'any' and 'thing'.

I've been trying to figure this out now and it's occurring more frequently.

Please you would also have to bare with me as I'm not too knowledgable about audio etc. I've also tried to crawl through this discussion to find help on this issue and I can't. This blip doesn't happen in any other programmes but I like the interface of Audition and would prefer to keep here, where I can keep audio files separate for my two mics etc. Please help

[also sorry if this has been posted in the wrong topic forum]

Thank you,

Luke.

The first rule of using the Podcast template is simply not to. On its own it can cause multiple problems because of the effects it adds, which may have been appropriate for whoever set it up, but simply aren't for anybody else.

So, if you try recording using the default 'normal' template with no added playback/monitoring processing, does the same thing happen?

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your reply! I tried exactly what you said and you are 100% correct! I tried to look everywhere for answers and nobody had suggested that before. I have attached another 'test' with the 'None' Template if you were interested.
I still see there is some noise within the spectral frequency, such as my breathing and such, and I'm sure I've seen clips online about removing these, so I'll put further research into this to get as crisp a sound as possible - I'm thinking though I still need to lower gain before recording, then normalising to either -3db or -0.1db.

Just want to mention too that I was looking through these forums before and I see you've been very helpful with others before, so I just want to also thank you as I've been specifically looking at your comments before I even posted mine. So thank you so much!

Luke
