Latency Issue in 2018 Release

I use a Focusrite Scareltt 2i2 Second Gen to connect to my MacBook Pro. Before I updated, I could record in multitrack with no delay in my monitoring. Now it's unusable. When I change the buffer settings it gets better but not much. Is there some option I am missing here?

I figured it out. Smart monitoring was enabled as a default. Latency is fine.

Thank you for saying that - it reinforces my view that nobody ever looks at the FAQs, and that they're really only there to save the forum regulars from a bit (or even a lot) of typing:
