latency while recording

hello,

i want to record the Reason Software in Adobe Audition but i dont understand why there is some latency while recording.

when i dont record in audition, theres not latency in Reason.

why it doesnt record live?

can you explain me ?

    Unfortunately latency is bound to be a result of having to route audio via indirect means though various different bits of software as each one probably adds it's own bit of latency. Also at this time Audition doesn't support Rewire, so you can't use that route directly. There is a work around apparently though.

    How are you getting the output from Reason into Audition?

    i tried to use ASIO4ALL but it doesnt seem to work on audition so i use the "line" "apowersoft audio device" of my computer.

    is there an other way?

    i've heard of ReWire but i dont know how it works !
