Long delay in opening and saving files

Question

When I import a MP4 video file into Adobe Audition 2019, it takes extremely long time to load. Also, when I save the file. Can anybody tell me the reason. I have PC 32 MB RAM and 1TB Internal HDD, with 50% blank space.

I've not tried this, but I'm not surprised it takes longer than normal. First Audition has to open the file, and then it has to strip out all the audio and present it on a separate track. It's bound to take longer than opening just an audio-only file. How much longer depends entirely upon the length, of course.
