I created a test tone track at 10 Hz and one at 15 Hz. However, I can't see the waveform on the screen and the frequency of the test tone track is not indicated at the bottom where it says 48000 Hz 24 bit and the time of the track (2 seconds). How do I see all of this so I know which track I am looking at? Something got screwed up with the waveform. I used to be able to see the waveform in the track. Now it is gone.
Although the waveform was visible at the top of the screen, it was not visible in the part of the screen where it says, "Where is the waveform?" It only became visible there after I reinstalled the software (see the screenshots above). The problem is not an issue now. If the workspace ever becomes congested, I will just do the same thing: trash the program and reinstall it. This works perfectly. You need to add a button that says, "Default workspace". That will clear the congestion.
All you have to do is to turn off Show Spectral Frequency Display (which for some reason got turned on accidentally) in the View menu. Also Shift+D keyboard shortcut or click on the little grey down arrow head just below the blue L and R icons at the right of your first image. There is also an icon for it to the right of the Multitrack icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
