Lost WAV files Days after Recording

I recorded audios for interviews using my Rode NTG4+ Microphone which is connected to a Zoom H6 and then to Audition. I did this recording around 6 days ago and saved everything after confirming it was all good. Today I opened the project only to find only 2 of the 8 audios present while the others are missing. Even the files themselves are not there in the location where I had set them to record except the 2.

I recorded as a Multitrack Session as I always do and I've never lost any file. I need help to recover these files because I have no idea what happened.

 

I'm Using a HP Omen 15 2020

Found one of the files but everytime I try importing it it displays this

 


Error: Media Foundation reported an error when opening the file.
The byte stream type of the given URL is unsupported.

Can you play that media file on anything else? - it might be damaged/corrupted
