Manually control the speed of fast forward

Hi, I need to know how to control the fast forward speed when listening to audio. I have long interviews that I need to review and would like to speed up the playback by about 50% -- enough so that I can listen quicker, but not too fast so that I can still follow what's happening. How can I make the fast forward function go a bit slower when I am listening to an interview?

There are instructions in the thread linked to below about reprogramming the J,K & L keys in Preferences. You can set them so that they will play in either direction at either half or twice speed:

I have the same question and the answer doesn't work for me. I want to set the fast forward speed at (approximately) 150% in order to listen to interviews quicker but still understand the words. Now fast forward is double speed (200%) which is too quick.

I'm afraid that you can't alter the behaviour to do that.

This has been a years-long problem in Audition. Fast forwarding makes the speech unintelligeable,  a bit slower like in Premiere would be of great help.
