Question

Manually Editing Waveforms

One thing that disappeared aeons ago when Cool Edit Pro became Audition is the ability to zoom into a waveform, grab a single pixel with a little pencil icon, and drag it up or down. Autoheal and other other destructive editing tools in Audition are amazing, but I really miss this very basic editing ability. With auto heal, you can't help but "heal" not only the pixel you want to move but a whole host of them around. The closest I can get is selecting a single pixel and use the HUD to raise/lower the amplitude, but it's not the same, and it still tends to take some of it's neighbors up and down with it in weird ways.

Am I missing something?

No you aren't. Requests have been made to put this back, but it appears to be rather low down on the features backlog list, I'm afraid.
