Midi Controller Help - Error

Greetings all. When trying to connect my Presonus Faderport to Audition 3.0, the transport controls are working but if I try to map any other buttons or a footswitch to any function, I get the error message "The specified device is already in use. Wait until it is free, and then try again".

How do I fix it?!
