Mix Down to Static/Silence

This is my first session mixing with Adobe Audition CC 2017. I have a dual core processor and 8 gigs of RAM. I'm mixing scenes for a play, I just finished with the first scene, (which is considerably less resource intensive as some other scenes).

I applied most of my EQ and compression individually to the files in wave form and mixed them down. But I do have two voices with reverb on them, and several other effects. Some of the tracks are stereo but most are mono and I have two bus tracks.

When I mixed down, I try both Save As, as well as Export mixdown session and either way they just produce staticy silence. I've tried mixing to both 44.1 and 48k and also to 24 bit and 32 bit, always with the same result.

I'm very concerned because this is my first session and its not even all that complicated of an effect chain.

Is there somewhere I can go to go learn how to mix down properly? I had a much easier time with the old software I used, Mixcraft, mixing down files. I just spent hours and hours learning audition so this is very alarming.
