Question

Mixdown Session to a new file or mixdown selected clips not working

When using multi track, I highlight the audio on the tracks I want to mixdown to a new file. When I choose that option, Audition is mixing down everything in the session vs just the selected tracks. Again I highlight the tracks, I right click, scroll to mixdown session to new file, choose selected clips, but it is still mixing down everything in the session. This just started happening when I upgraded to version 26.0.0.56  Can anyone tell me what I need to do or if a default needs to be changed with the upgrade? Thank you for any suggestions or fixes.

I don’t know why this is happening to you - on a W11 system it seems to work fine here (I just tested it on 26.0.0.56). If, instead of using Multitrack>Mixdown, you use File>Export>Selected Clips and check the options to make sure that it’s what you want, what happens then?

Thank you for your suggestion. Tried what you suggested and it exports down the entire session. Weird!!!

I am trying to mixdown 5 audio pieces ( 2 short music pieces and (3) vocal pieces). The total run time of the piece is 30 seconds. When I mixdown selected clips or export selected clips, it gives me a one minute piece of audio that has buzzing all the way thru. (see attached photo). The levels do not match on the right and left side.  So weird!!! This just started happening with the switch to version 26.

Okay - this has some of the hallmarks of a corrupt session file… Just to find out if this is the case, can you try reassembling the session again from scratch? I realise that this is a bit of a pain, but these are the steps we need to go through in order to pin down exactly what’s happening.
