Mixdown to new file

Question

I am simply trying to mixdown two tracks in Multitrack to one file. Should be simple, but the option to mixdown entire session is not available. When I try to mixdown time selection, the mixdown file is empty. What is the fix?

Where is the output of the tracks routed to? I think you can have mixdown difficulties with tracks that aren't routed to the Master output...
