Question

Mixing a video, with multichannels clips with 2 channel, how to split and keep synchro

Hello, I often nee dto mix the audio for videos, I receive a project and there are a lot of clips, where the file is a stereo one, but in reality it is a multichannel with 2 mono channels.

Is there a way that I can split it without going through the files management and splt to mono? Because if I have let's say 30-40 clips like that, I need to go through all that process and resynch each clip.

Can't I do it directly in the multichannel editor keeping my synchro?

You don't have to split it at all. In the track control box, you'll see to the left of each file a twirl-down. If you twirl down a file, it reveals each channel separately (works for multichannel files as well) and you can drag each channel to a separate track, either in sync or not - it's up to you.
