Question

Multitrack in Audition CC lags for several seconds when scrubbing/moving playhead

Running off of a new machine. At first I thought it was an issue with the hard drive not reading fast enough but I've tried experimenting with that to no avail. I then figured it was a performance issue with a bottleneck somewhere but I installed CS6 and that runs perfectly with no hangs whatsoever. I've already gone through every possible latency/performance option in preferences. No idea what to do next. What could be causing this?

Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Have you got the sample rates all matched between Audition's session, the computer's audio settings and your audio interface? What platform are you running Audition on and with which operating system? What audio interface are you using? Remember that CS6 is 32bit software whereas the later CC version are 64bit which may mean that data rate transfers may be different between the versions.

    Hey thanks for the response,

Our audio interfaces are Wheatstone Blades and the sample rates are matching at 44100 on Windows 7 running off of a server. One thing I just discovered: It only happens if the multitrack has a track armed to record, without a track armed it scrubs fine. Thoughts?
