Question

Multitrack Length Defaults to 10 Minutes

When I create a new multi-track session after working on a .wav file, the session always defaults to 10 minutes, and my clip inserts as a tiny sliver way out at the end, regardless of where I place the time marker. This is not the case if I first create a multi-track session, and then import that exact same clip from my desktop into the session.

If you go to Edit>Preferences>Markers and Metadata and there's a check in the 'Lock markers and metadata to the timeline' box, try removing it and see if that is more to your liking. Also in Multitrack Clips, if there's a check in the 'Use embedded timecode when inserting clips into Multitrack' box, remove that one too. There's a very good chance that one or both of these is causing this behaviour.

Thank you! I did uncheck the "Use imbedded timecode..." so will try the other. Appreciate the help!
