Question

Multitrack Mixdown

I recently made the switch from Audition 3.0 to CC. I'm looking for help with two things I have yet to uncover in preferences and internet searches. First, is there a way, by default, to not have  "_mixdown" as part of the file name when you export a multi track session? (Other than doing it manually each time.) Secondly, when I used to mix out a multi track session in 3.0, the mixed-out file would immediately open. When I now do it in CC, the mixed-out file appears in the list of files, but doesn't open automatically. Is there a setting to automatically open the mixed-down file immediately? Thanks!

Yes I find it annoying and have previously submitted a feature request to have it so that this is a user supplied value

There doesn't appear to be. It doesn't bother me, as invariably I want to give the mixdown a different name anyway, and at least having _mixdown in the file list makes it pretty obvious...

Okay, a little bit of weirdness... If you go to the Export menu, you get lots of options. One of them I've circled:

If you leave this option enabled in the export menu, then this will also apply when you use the Mixdown option instead. No I have no idea why it's like this, but it seems to work consistently...
