Question

My cursor looks like a dumbell with a red line through it.

Hi Folks,

I've had an old version of Audition for years and I love it.  I downloaded the newest version a couple of months ago, and I'm even happier with it.  I have one thing I cannot figure out.  Suddenly, my cursor marker, when in a blank space of a track, looks like a dumbell with a red line through it.  How do I get rid of that and just have the regular cursor marker like before?

That's the Slip tool - you can select the tool you want on the top line, to the right of the Waveform and Multitrack selector. You get a choice of four; Move, Razor, Slip or Time. Move or Time would probably be a better bet!

I've put a ring around the ones you might want.
