Name split clips?

Hey there,

Is there a way to name a clip that's been split? Like creating sub-clips out of the two new clips for example after using the razor tool?

Okay this is weird. Initially when I'd rename the a split clip, it would rename ALL parts of the original clip. So if you took a 5 minute clip for example and divided it into 5, renaming one of the split clips would rename ALL of them. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Depends upon where you rename it. If you create a clip in Waveform view, give it a marker name and export it into Multitrack, then however many times you use it, it will retain the same clip name. But if you split it up more in Multitrack and rename the splits, the new names will be stored in the session file and stay with the clip, wherever you put it. And so on - you can split it more as well, and rename each bit separately. But that won't affect the original name you gave it as a Waveform marker.
