Need for help regarding an automated action

Hello everyone,

I am evaluating Audition for a very specific need but I am not used to audio software. I am not even sure what I am asking is possible to automate or not .

Your help is required for me to be able of doing what I'd like to! Thank you in advance for any intervention.

What I do need is an automation process to perform the following tasks automatically on the tracks that I would have added manually first:

- Add a Fade IN in the 10 first seconds of all tracks

- Repeat each track up to a new length of one hour per track ( all tracks have different lenghts and I would like not to have silences between the repetitions of each seperated track )

- Mix all the tracks together ( superposed )

- Change the speed of the track by accelerating it up to 70%

- Change the amplification of the track by lowering it down to -39 dB

- Export the new track in FLAC/8/24 ( with the default name or if possible by asking the name )

Is that even possible ?

    Audition can do all of what you want but not all completely automatically. Favorite actions/effects can be saved and given a keyboard shortcut allowing them to be deployed quickly and easily. Your first three actions would take place in the Multitrack view which is basically non destructive. But once mixed down to a single audio file the other requirements would normally be covered in the Waveform view which is destructive in nature. Some of the last three actions would be possible to do in Batch Processing if you end up with a lot of different mixed down files.

    But as a start it would be advisable to work through your workflow manually to find out how it all works before trying to automate everything. Often it ends up being quicker to dive in and work manually rather than spending many hours unsuccessfully trying to get full automation to work IMHO.

    Your answer is wise and I thank you.

    The fact is that I am doing that manually with Audacity on a iMac Retina5K with Sierra since several weeks now ( about ten times per day with each time about a hundred tracks ) and I start to feel like I am doing the job like a monkey would with his tail and nails while having in my hands the power of a station which could easily help me build a rocket ( that would actually fly ! ). That frustrates me somehow .

    I have a question. What do you mean by destructive in nature, that the changes are made on the source matériel without delay or buffering of the data ?
