Need re-installation help

I have a copy of Adobe Audition 3 which I purchased 5 or 6 years ago and have used until recently.  My computer became infested with malware.  Lots of uninstalling occurred, including Adobe Audition.  Now it won't re-install.  Can anyone help me get it working again?

Download the non-activation version of Audition 3 from

"Activation server unavailable" error in Adobe CS2, Acrobat 7, and Audition 3

Install then enter the new, non-activation serial number provided at the page above. Your existing serial number will not work.

If it's a re-installation on a machine that, let's say, has 'suffered' a little, then you may need slightly more help than that. I think that all the additional information you might need is contained in the Audition FAQ about it:

Audition 3 and the activation service
