Can someone tell me how to convert .wav file to IMA ADPCM Mono 8000 4 bit?    This may be a double post as I'm having trouble navigating adobe...if so, please forgive me.

Would really appreciate some help.

Using Audition cs6 for windows.

Thanks

Open your file in Audition CS6 and then go to Save As. Then follow the settings that Charles has shown by choosing libsndfile from the drop down menu in Format. Then click Change on Format Settings to select Waveform Audio (rather than AIFF shown by Charles) and IMA etc. from Encoding drop down menu.

We can store IMA 4-bit ADPCM within AIFF files. There are other ADPCM formats that we can write to as raw compressed audio data. Depends on what your needs are.

Would help to know if Audition CS6 on Windows can open the file type you wish to create. If so, usually then doing a File > Save As will automatically have the settings populated in order to write the file.

Thanks for the reply Charles.  I'm trying to convert this file.  My client is getting this error.

It's some kind of voice mail system.

If I understand your statement then I guess I'd know if I knew how to save the file as IMA ADPCM Mono 8000 4 bit.  However, I cannot create the file therefore I don't have anything to open.

Thanks again.
