no sound when playing back files in the waveform editor

I'm using a A&H Qu24 as my interface and can here files played back in the multitrack editor but not in the waveform editor. 

Is there somewhere i need to set the waveform editor preferences so that it outputs to the correct stereo in channel on the mixer?
