No template "Podcast" when open New Multitrack Session

You haven't said whether this is on a PC or a Mac - the template locations are different on each. But before I give you the PC location (I don't have the Mac one) I have to issue you with a dire warning against using the podcast template anyway. If you look around the forum, you'll find that people have consistently had trouble with it, and we consistently tell them not to use it, and start with the default template.

The problem with the podcast template is that it has all sorts of weird things added to different tracks, and whilst they may be suitable for one particular podcast (although I doubt it...) they absolutely aren't suitable for anybody who's unfamiliar with Audition - you'll either end up with nothing, or at best a very strange-sounding podcast. Not a lot of help, that.

So what you should do is to start with the default template, which will give you a number of 'vanilla' tracks, and you add things to them accordingly, depending upon what you are doing. And if you want to treat any of these tracks, then you do it according to what you've put on them, and you'll be much better served by using the Essential Sound part of Multitrack view (it's in the Window menu), and designating your track types there, where you can adjust settings to suit.

As for the location of the template files, in a PC it looks like this:

That is the default location for them. If there's nothing there, then delete the folder that they should be in, and Audition should reinstate it next time it starts.
