Noise Reduction broken since latest update?

Whenever I used Noise Reduction (with the default settings) in Adobe Audition I used to get super smooth results with hardly any noise left: http://i.imgur.com/L7TU3w3.jpg

However, since the latest update I'm getting hardly any results when using the same effect under the same settings.

Before Noise Reduction: http://i.imgur.com/0oAmM4x.jpg

Default settings: http://i.imgur.com/u84Kh08.jpg

After Noise Reduction: http://i.imgur.com/7ptlFOL.jpg

You can see that there is hardly any difference before and after the noise reduction. I even used a very clean piece of audio to Capture the Noise Print, but without success.

Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Correct answer Charles VW

The default settings are what changed.

It used to have the following settings.

  • Noise Reduction: 100%
  • Reduce by: 40 dB
  • (Advanced) FFT Size: 4096

Switching to the default settings, and then manually changing the above should have it behave as it did before.

Can you run the test with the same files against two different versions of Audition? The CC Desktop application can install old versions.

That's odd because I have just double checked and it seems to work OK for me with the default settings.
