Noise with UA Apollo x8

Question

I recently switched to a UA Apollo x8 interface. When I record, I get clicks and pops. I've been working with UA support and they have been unable to remedy the problem.

Note:

-These clicks and pops are on the recording only. Playback is fine.

-The higher the sample rate of the recording, the more noise.

-In Audio Hardware Settings, device class is MNE and I'm unable to switch to ASIO.

You should find out why you can't run ASIO with it, because without that it will only ever be a basic two-channel (minimum Microsoft spec) interface. If you download the drivers, and select ASIO in the Device Class in Audition, what do you see?
