eg. I have a music album, separated into individual files. I wan't to normalize the entire album.. in other words, normalize the loudest track at -0.1db, and amplify the rest of the tracks accordingly. (I do "not" want every track at -0.1db, I want to keep the original dynamic of the album. Is there any way to do this without having to join all the tracks together first?
The easiest way to do this is to use Open Append. Yes, this will put all of your tracks in a single file, but the important thing is that they will all have range markers with the file name of each in them. You can now normalize the whole album to -0.1dB, and if you go to the Markers page and highlight all of the ranges, you can use the 'export audio of selected range markers to separate files' button to save them all back again to individual files.
