Not Working

Adobe Audition has always been a useful app for sound editing, but here is a problem I have with the program.

I was using the programme and the programme mysteriously stopped. I then closed it with Windows task manager. After that, when I tried to open the program again, it did not even pop up anything on the screen. But when I opened the task manager, it said it was working in the background. Now I can't use the program and I really need some help here since I need it to finish my project...
