opening .sesx file from win10 pro

Hi all

For a considerable while now I cannot open an sesx file directly from File Explorer in Win10 Pro.  Clicking the sesx will open Audition, but I then have to manually open the session from within Audition.

Happens whether I'm running 2019, 2020 or 2021.  My system defaults to 2019 for work compatability. 

If I use "Open with"  in the Explorer window I can choose CS6, CC2019, 2020 or 2021.  Opening with CS6 does load the sesx as it should, the rest not.  It did work back when, but then M$ did  updates and everything went to pot. (Why does that not surprise me....?).

And yes, I have checked file associations....

Anybody else have this?
