Opening Two Mono tracks in Waveform as left and right audio

It can be done, I just don't remember how to do it.

    The reason that you can't remember how is because there is no direct method of doing this, only indirect ones. But your statement isn't exactly clear either - what exactly are you trying to do? Wanting to combine two identical mono channels to a two-channel 'glorious' mono? Or trying to combine two different mono tracks into a two-channel file?

    Two different mono tracks into a two-channel file. So I can listen to one track in each ear so I can edit the interview in waveform.

    Normally that would be done in the Multitrack view where you can add each mono file to two separate Tracks and Pan one to the left and one to the right.

    Otherwise one way in the Waveform view is to convert one of the mono files to 'stereo' using Edit/Convert Sample Type. And then select just one of the channels in the new stereo file and delete it. Then copy the second file and paste it into the empty channel in your converted file.
